Let yourself be carried away by Granada and its surroundings in this pleasant guided tour. From the hand of our guide you will discover the best viewpoints of the city from which to contemplate the beauty of the Alhambra and the Albayzin, both declared World Heritage Site by Unesco. First we walk through the typical streets, squares and small squares of the cozy neighborhood of Albayzin, the essence of the Islamic town´s original population, to the Mirador de San Nicolas for one of the best views of the Alhambra and Sierra Nevada. We then continue to the top of the Sacromonte district, filled with passways prickly bushes and spectacular wiewpoints and full of true flavour and flamenco feel, where you can not miss a visit to the interpretation center with the cave dwellings, the craftsmanship of basketry and pottery, the forge or loom. The view of the Alhambra is perhaps even more beautiful from here. We cross the Darro River and climb up to the Acequia Real de la Alhambra (Royal Irrigation Channel) and the so-called Moor’s chair (Silla del Moro) to enjoy a splendid view over Granada. Finally we walk down through the Alhambra forest back to the center.
Usually the excursion is done in the morning, but of course it could also be done in the afternoon, we will walk about 7 km, and 250 meters height difference.
Time: about 4 hours including the visit of the museum.
